Orlighters was born from a shared passion between two Israeli-American college students to create something tangible, meaningful, and enduring in support of Israel and the Jewish people. After the October 7th massacre and the wave of antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment that followed, we felt an urgent need to stand up — not just with words, but with something physical that could spark conversation, pride, and unity.

The name Orlighters comes from the Hebrew word "Or" (אור), meaning light. Bringing light into the world is a central Jewish value — a part of Tikkun Olam, the idea of repairing the world through acts of goodness. Our mission is simple: bring light into the world by advocating for Israel and Jewish values.
